Thomas will admit he committed involuntary manslaughter, a
class D felony, and operating while under the influence, a serious
misdemeanor.
A class D felony is punishable by up to five years in prison.
Thomas' hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. May 8.
Authorities initially charged Thomas with vehicular homicide and OWI.
Thomas was eastbound on U.S. Highway 18 near Britt when
he struck and killed "Railroad Randy" Nomeland, 60, of Minneapolis.
Nomeland was eastbound on a bicycle.
Nomeland was in the area for the National Hobo Convention in Britt.
