Art Show hours: 5:00pm - 9:00pm If you've been to Ichi Bike, it feels like an Art Show all the time! As you walk in, it's 1/3 urban art gallery, 1/3 old-school custom car shop and 1/3 bike shop all in one well-defined space. There is just as much 'Art' as there is 'Bike'. EAST VILLAGE TO HOST ANNUAL HOLIDAY PROMENADE EVENT

one of the most popular events in the Historic East Village that has grown and evolved along with the neighborhood. This year's event will feature caroling, free horse and carriage rides, boutique shopping and store events from 5-9 p.m. Families will enjoy a fireworks display at 6:20, a visit from Santa at Brenton Plaza during the opening night of skating, and festive music and events throughout the East Village. Miss Iowa and Ballet Des Moines will be performing at the LifeServe Blood Center providing a great place to get out of the cold and enjoy family fun between shops. New this year is the Winter Wonderland Holiday Promenade Window Decorating Contest. Delight in the charm of the Historic East Village as you enjoy beautiful window displays, two horse drawn carriages, refreshments offered by area businesses, a meal at an East Village restaurant, and holiday carolers strolling floating through the neighborhood. Historic East Village Business Members and Promenade Sponsors will provide bags featuring samples and special offers, plus a shopping and dining map and ballot for Viewer's Choice Best Window. Pick up your bag at Brenton Plaza, Baby Boomer's or The LifeServe Blood Center from 5-7:30 pm or while supplies last. Those attending Promenade for the fireworks will have the best view from Brenton Plaza or the Center Street Pedestrian Bridge. The Walnut Street Bridge will be closed during the evening of Promenade for the fireworks and parking Sampson, Promenade Chair says, "The fireworks and family friendly events pair perfectly with the business open houses! This is an ideal way for the serious shoppers to sneak away for a bit to savor all that the businesses have to offer while their families enjoy a festive kick off to the holiday season at the events at Brenton Plaza and LifeServe Blood Center."
