Montezuma, IA An Oregon bicyclist was killed in a crash with a truck near Montezuma Wednesday, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report. Jason Lee Morris, 33, of Albany, Ore., pedaled eastbound on Iowa Highway 85 about three miles east of Montezuma at about noon. Truck driver Michael Jantzen, 51, of Tama, spotted the bicyclist and straddled the dotted center line to give Morris room, the report said. The front passenger side tire on the truck failed and the truck jutted hard to the right. The truck hit Morris, entered the ditch and rolled over. Morris was killed. It was not immediately clear if Jantzen suffered injuries.
