Cityview & Brian Duffy to Host Fall Cycling Festival!

Lake Rathbun Cityview, a Central Iowa weekly newspaper, and Editorial Cartoonist, Brian Duffy, are excited to announce the first ever Honey Creek Fall Cycling Festival the weekend of October 9-11! The rides will start and finish at the Honey Creek Resort on Lake Rathbun and feature a Century ride, Metric Century or shorter loop on Saturday, as well as a 35 mile ride around Lake Rathbun on Sunday! For folks who like it fat and dirty, there will also be a Gravel Road Century, Metric Century or shorter on Saturday, highlighted by the Midwest Gravel Road Marathon Championship race as part of the Gravel Century ride. Friday evening entertainment will be provided around the backyard campfire pit at Honey Creek, in addition to night rides on local trails. Weekend ride registration also includes a buffet dinner and entertainment on Saturday night! Sunday rides will include either a road or gravel ride around the picturesque Lake Rathbun. Of course, the indoor waterpark and golf course are available at the resort when you are not riding, or for family members while you are riding!
