Perry Unseasonably Warm Temperatures Draw 3K Cyclists Unseasonably warm temperatures made sure the Bike Ride to Rippey didn't live up to its "BRR" nickname on Saturday. An estimated 3,000 cyclists made the 23-mile round trip to Perry to Rippey in 50-degree weather, sunshine and very little wind. Some riders wore shorts and T-shirts. One veteran participant said it was the warmest ride she could remember in nearly two decades. I started 19 years ago, and this is, by far, the best one," said Diane Pudenz. "We've had a couple where we've been down to light sweats, but never like this where we have no wind." "This is just right," said rider Nancy Cayler. "I don't know if it would qualify as a BRR ride, but it was a nice winter day to go riding." At the ride two years ago, riders had to bundle up and brave wind chills that reached 26 degrees below zero.
