Repairs to close Bill Riley Trail next week

The Bill Riley Trail from the parking lot of Ashworth Park swimming pool to the bridge over the Raccoon River into Water Works Park will be closed next week in order to repair a train trestle.
The trail will be closed beginning Tuesday, May 6th and will remain closed until repairs are completed, according to Des Moines Parks and Recreation officials.
Officials are advising the public to stay off the trail until it has been reopened.
