CYCLING: Coralville cyclist Jason McCartney is sixth after Thursday's third stage of the Tour de Georgia.
McCartney won a stage in the prestigious race in 2004, against a field that include legend and overall winner Lance Armstrong. He used some of that success as a springboard to the 2004 U.S. Olympic team that competed in Athens.
American cyclist Floyd Landis won Thursday's stage, the individual time trial, and leads the event. The Tour de Georgia, which ends on Sunday, covers 600 miles in six days.
