Iowa Mountain Bike Championship Series (IMBCS) #3 this Sunday - July 10

Hello all, As most of you know, IMBCS race #3 was postponed due to excessive amounts of rain. The new date for the event is this Sunday, JULY 10. If you are not familiar with the course at Seven Oaks, it is one of the best mountain biking venues in the region. The course has a lot of everything, including technical singletrack, challenging climbs, fast descents and some very fast flat sections. The course will be a little different this time because the Seven Oaks venue will have motocross events going on that same day. The start/finish and parking area will be at the top of the ski hill. As you turn right onto the gravel road (222 Dr.), the main parking lot for Seven Oaks will be on your left. Continue past this parking lot and go to the top of the hill and you will see the parking area for the mountain bike race. All of the motocross events will be on the east side of the ski hill, so the entire mountain course will be contained on the west side of the hill. The mountain bike course will be completely separate from the motocross course so there will be no conflicts between the two events.

RACE DETAILS

Racing will start at 10:30, with experts going off first, followed by sport and beginners at 5 minute intervals. There will be free fruit and water before the race. After the race there will be free lunch and beverages. Camping the night before the race is free to all participants. For reservations, contact Joel or Steve at (515) 432-9457. Registration is the day of the race and opens at 8:30. Entry fee is $25 per racer, cash or check only please. Expert class will receive 100% entry fee payback for the top finishers.
