For cycling enthusiasts, there are plenty of places in Siouxland to put the pedal to the metal. But first, you need a bike. A group of people are trying to share their love of biking while breaking down barriers along the way.
One man, one vision. That’s how Siouxland Bikes for Kids started a long time ago. Dave Bak remembers the beginning.
“There was a guy by the name of Frank Brinkerhoff who had done kind of pre-Siouxland Bikes for Kids. Just doing them in his basement, getting them ready for kids,” Bak said. “He had his daughter and some other teacher friends that would give him names and he would get these bikes ready for kids.
