Lillie Smith wanted to find a way to help her grandparents - Bill and Grace Garrett- welcome RAGBRAI riders to Atlantic, and did so with a unique chalk drawing. It featured the words “ “Welcome RAGBRAI,” and Atlantic, Iowa, along with a picture of a bike and a place for people to sign their names next to it.
“My grandma was saying she wanted to have a sign (to welcome the RAGBRAI riders), but she never had the chance (to get one),” Smith said. “So I was trying to think of something that I could do for her.
