The grand opening of a new mountain bike trail at Cone Park will be accompanied by two events in June, Sioux City Parks and Recreation announced.
The new Mountain Bike Park will open on Friday, June 14, 2024, according to a release from the city. On that day, an official park dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m.
The Cone Park Trail Fest will follow the next day on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. A variety of activities will be on offer, such as professional rider demonstrations, free bike demos, professional lead bike classes, and guided trail rides, along with live music, food and drink, and more.
