"Down By The Riverside" Reconnecting people with the Des Moines River and the trails that run beside it on Saturday, August 15

Des Moines River Cleanup From Saylorville to Yellow Banks Park Saturday, August 15, 2009 Starting at 9AM This event allows volunteers the opportunity to remove trash from the river or along its adjacent trails--paddlers, rowers, power boaters, walkers, hikers, bicyclers, mountain bikers, birders, etc are all welcome! Sign up for land or water-based clean ups. all ages welcome! Keep our rivers beautiful! Join our riverfront celebration at 6PM. This year we are going all out with a big celebration at the Simon Estes Amphitheater where live entertainment and food will be provided FREE for volunteers.
