310 self-supported miles of Iowa gravel roads in April 2005... and oh yeah... they are doing it in 31 hours!

Move over RAGBRAI ??? There's a new kid on the block... an he is out to inflict some severe suffering! Not heard of TRANS-IOWA? The 310 mile 2 day race is put on by Jeff Kerkove, a native from Waterloo. Jeff is part of the CatEye Enduro Team. CatEye and Giant USA created a pro-elite squad of four endurance mountain bike racers for 2004 and Jeff is one of 'em! 31 hours, muddy rutty gravel roads in April, no sleep and a Kum & Go burrito! now that's heaven for some! Yes, TRANS-IOWA is a race across Iowa that starts in Hawarden and ends in Decorah with one supply point in Algona. more details are on the site.

Now for the good news for most of you! and bad news for only a few... The field limit was 50 riders, and the field limit is already full! Check out the "super freak" roster on the site.
