It is 11.18pm PST, and I've been up since 4am CST, so cut me some slack.
Mandy and I are out in glorious San Francisco with DMOS/Mortgage Solutions compadres Lane and Jenifer Anderson awaiting the arrival of Eric and Michelle Lambi. Friends Tony and Teri Stewart from KCOI Racing in Kansas City are out here, too!
Why should you care?
Because you're in Iowa and we're not.
Just how cool is it that we can fly across the country, run into complete strangers in the Phoenix airport and find out that we have a great deal in common ~ the love of riding and racing bicycles.
We've bumped into a chaplain for a NHL Hockey team who re-reads Lance's biography every year. We've met a really cool guy for Athlete Octane, who was telling us how cool Jason McCartney is. And the brother of one of the Pro Cycling Tour wonks who WOULDN'T GIVE US THE HOOKUP TO THE VIP PRO PARTY TOMORROW! Hell, the Lambis even flew out with J-Mac... now how cool is that one?
Anyways, we're enjoying it out here and can't wait to see the TENS OF THOUSANDS of spectators out here on Sunday!
My point in all of this drivel at 20 hours without sleep? Get out your pocketbook and check out some of these big events in person. You'll never regret it.
Otherwise, the only thing I've got on my mind at this point of the day is the sickness that is the cyclocross season starting next Tuesday with the DMOS/Mortgage Solutions CROSS MAFIA at Union Park. See you there!
