For my 50th year on this planet I wanted to do something big. As I was riding and contemplating life, I realized that what I really wanted was to do something big enough for both me and my father.

Our friend Chad Terrell has been on the road for 89 days and just completed the TransAmerican Bicycle Route in memory of his father and for his 50th birthday. Follow his whole adventure through his Facebook posts. We were envious and living vicariously through Chad these last 3 months. Well done Chad !!!

The TransAmerican Bicycle Route is 4,228 miles long and goes through ten states. It meanders from Astoria, Oregon to Yorktown, Virginia. I left Astoria on July 6th and arrived in Yorktown on October 23.

It's been quite the journey and the realization that I've actually finished is still sinking in. Thanks to all my friends and family that have supported me on this adventure, I wouldn't have been able to finish without your help.

This ride is dedicated to Philip George Terrell (1951-1993). I love and miss you dad.
