Distance - Just under 50 miles
The Second Annual Bike the Byway is set for June 20th.
This years ride will go from Bloomfield to Ottumwa.
It will travel the county roads thru the beautiful Amish County of
southern Iowa.The ride is supported along the way by the communities
of Drakesville, Unionville, and Blakesburg. Bloomfield Main Street and
Ottumwa will be rolling out the welcome mat for the riders, with a pancake breakfast in Bloomfield.
Great tune up RAGBRAI with very simular roads, community support and couple
hills to test your metal, but without the crowds.
Route
Just under 50 miles. Start on the square in Bloomfield head west to V17. Go north on V17 to Drakesville.
Go west on J3T to Unionville. Option ride thru thebeautiful Lake Wapello State Park. Go North on T61 to Blakesburg.
Head east on H47 pass the Antique Air Field. Classic Airplane on grass runways. H47 become H41 for you ride into Ottumwa.
