Party Ride

Distance - 13 miles - one way

ONE OF SEVEN

This ride is ONE of SEVEN Fat Tire Rides sponsored by  New Belgium Brewing, the makers of  FAT TIRE BEER, and Iowa Beverage.

We are switching it up this year to give some other bars, trails and businesses some New Belgium Luvin's.

Each ride will have a new Starting point, route and destination. Some rides will have entertainment lined up.

At the end of the Seven Rides we will have ridden on at least 12 different Trails through 16 towns and at least 20 bicycle-friendly establishments and probably met 100 new friends. Now that, my friends, is a good Summer of Ridin' !!

TEAM-UP

We are looking for one ore more bike teams to CO-SPONSOR this ride!

What do we need from you?  We need you and your friends to show up, have fun, drink some New Belgium goodness,  help folks get signed up to win the cruiser, be familiar with and ride the route, help other cyclists get from the starting point to the destination and back, and did we mention... HAVE FUN?!?

WIN A 2014 NEW BELGIUM CRUISER

New Belgium will be giving away a 2014 New Belgium Cruiser at the October "FAT TIRE FUN RIDE" which is the last ride of the series. You must go on one of the rides during the series to register to win.

TO WIN THE FAT TIRE CRUISER YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT THE OCTOBER RIDE AND SORRY THE PREVIOUS WINNERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN, BUT YOU CAN STILL PLA.


All ride dates and routes are subject to change due to weather and trail conditions.

Route

From the Nite Hawk Lounge in Slater along the High Trestle Trail, we'll stop at the Flat Tire Lounge, the High Trestle Trail Bridge and then to the Whistlin' Donkey in Woodward. All trail with a spectacular view of the bridge! 
Some riders may ride from Ankeny to Slater for the start. Look for more info once the ride gets closer.

We Welcome new cyclists to these rides! If you are unfamiliar with the area, the route, etc,. Let us know and we will make sure you get there and back!

BRING LIGHTS IF YOU PLAN TO PLAY LATE!

The Nite Hawk Lounge has been a BIKEIOWA Sponsor pretty much since it opened. They are a great host for ride, and we love their cold beer, bike parking and hospitality!

The Whistlin' Donkey in Woodward has been a BIKEIOWA sponsor before they opened their doors. The Donkey is a great place to have a beer and a meal when riding the High Trestle Trail. Live Music, fire pits and and camping make this place a true destination!

Make a weekend of it.  Camp  for cheap at Whistlin' Donkey, Stay in Slater at the Hammond House B&B, Stay near Madrid and the bridge at Two Bears Lodge B&B, Cap near Sayloville Lake or grab a hotel in Perry or Ankeny and enjoy the weekend on the Central Iowa Trails.
