The ride is a charity ride for the Make A Wish Foundation.
One of the best family and fitness events of the season, Tour de Lights allows registered participants a private preview of Jolly Holiday Lights before the event is opened to the general public.
It’s a great excuse to get out of the house and benefits Make-A-Wish’s efforts to grant wishes to Iowa children with life-threatening medical conditions. There is a small entry fee of $5 per person ($7 after November 9th). Children under three are free. On-line registration open until 4:00 on November 23rd. Please register at the event after this time.

FAMILY NIGHT - - NOVEMBER 22nd
Start and end in Water Works Park! Walk, run, bike or stroll at your own pace!
FITNESS NIGHT - - NOVEMBER 23rd
Run/Ride a 1.5 or 3.5 miles from Water Works Park or an 11 mile roundtrip route from El Bait Shop! Bicyclists, skaters and runners come out! $5.00 (T-shirts available for $20.00)
Make wishes come true and start a new family tradition by going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year, Jolly Holiday Lights. With all the profits going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the event remains the most charitable and well-known holiday light park in the Des Moines Metro Area.

WEAR CHRISTMAS COSTUMES AND DECORATE YOUR BIKE WITH LIGHTS AND OTHER ORNAMENTS
Contests will be held each night for best decorated/lit bike, best pet costume and best human costume.

Jolly Holiday Lights is a Des Moines tradition like no other. With more than 80 lighted displays, the event has become a magical centerpiece to many. Enjoy the wonder of this holiday spectacular from an entirely different perspective.

We are riding to Water Works Park where we then ride through the Jolly Holiday Lights light show.

Be down to el Bait Shop by 4pm to register and enter your bike in the contest for best holiday decorated bicycle. The ride should start some time around 5:30pm. Alternate start is at Mullet's, stop down register and enter bike. Contest for best holiday decorated bicycle in only at el Bait Shop.
$5 For the Make A Wish Foundation or $20.00 gets your a T-shirt too!
