Mountain Biking

Distance - 8.75 miles

The Decorah Time Trials is Iowa's longest running mountain biking event.  The challenging 8.75 mile course winds through the rolling, wooded areas of the Decorah Parks System and includes lots of technical single track.  Riders are released singularly on 1-minute intervals starting at 2:00. 

Plaques will be awarded 1st and 2nd place in each class.  At least $200 will be awarded the overall male and female.  If the winner of the 2014 Decorah Time Trials has a faster time than the 2013 winning time of 0:49:59.50, they will receive a $500 prize in lieu of the overall cash prize.  Cash will also be given at least the next five male overall finishers and the second woman finishing.  Total cash payout for the Time Trials will be a minimum of $1,000. 

A free Kids Time Trials is also offered.

Registration

$25.  Pre-registered riders (postmarked by April 18) select their start time when they check in; late registrants select a start time after the pre-race meeting.  All participants are provided light refreshments at the registration tent and are eligible for a drawing with over $1,000 in merchandise held during the awards ceremony (must be present to win).
