Distance - Long - 62.5 mi. Short - 34mi.

The ride will go primarily northwest and northeast of Marshalltown with three rest stops in small towns. Beverages fruit and desserts will be provided. Route is moderately hilly on lightly traveled blacktop county roads. Long route (62.5 miles) and short route (34 miles) for the less seasoned riders.

Route

LONG ROUTE: Police escort to city limits, then follow Summit St. Rd. to NW to S75, W on E29, to S52, N to Clemons for 1st rest stop. Then N on S52 to E18 to Bangor (2nd rest stop). E on E18 to S62, N on S62 to Union (3rd rest stop). E on D65 to Whitten. S on S75 to D67. E on D67 (cross Hwy. 14) to Conrad (4th rest stop). E on D67 to T29 (Beaman). S on T29 to Green Mountain. W on E27 to Hwy. 14. S on Hwy 14 to Riverview Park. Follow bike path to YM/YWCA. SHORT ROUTE: Police escort to city limits, then follow Summit St. Rd. to NW to S75, W on E29, to S52, N to Clemons for 1st rest stop. Then N on S52 to E18 to Bangor (2nd rest stop). S on S62 to E29. E to S75 to Summit St. Rd. & return to YM/YWCA by same route as leaving town.
