Gravel

Distance - 16.5 miles

Begin and end at the Prairie’s Edge Nature Center, 2 miles south of Cresco. Turn south at the Hwy 9 & 3rd Street stoplights, then follow the signs.

The Duathlon consists of a 4 mile run, 10 mile bike (gravel), and ends with a 2.5 mile run. Enter as an individual contestant or get a team put together! Teams may consist of 2-person (one person runs both legs of the race and one bikes) or a 3-person team (each person races one leg of the competition).

Individual or team - it is a great time for all! This Duathlon is just part of the exciting Norman Borlaug Harvest Fest (Sept 14-16, 2012) and you will find much more to be a part of in Cresco, Iowa!

Route

Starting at the Nature Center the first leg of the race is a 4 mile run (loop) on the Prairie Springs Recreation Trail. The second leg of the race is a 10 mile bike (mostly gravel) and the third leg is a 2.5 mile run ending at the Nature Center. Each leg starts and ends at the Nature Center.

Registration

Team registration is $45, Individual registration is $25.

The race begins at 9:00am with registration starting at 7:30am at the Nature Center.
