Just Plain Fun

Distance - 25/50 mile

Annual University of Okoboji event, 200-300 riders. Entry fee gets you a great looking t-shirt, unlimited use of the Athletic club facilities (comes in nice for inclement weather), an authentic German Oktoberfest meal after the ride at Minerva's (Village East), and acustic guitar and songs from Dave Rowley (Croce, James Taylor, The Beatles, Jimmy Buffet, etc.). You will not find more first class features for the money!

Route

25 (okay, so its a few less) goes around West Lake Okoboji. The 50 goes around Big Spirit Lake, East Lake Okoboji, through Milford and back to Okoboji. We have heard of those that take the bike trail four miles or so, to Sportsman's, and weave back sometime later. That is unsanctioned, of course.
