Charity Ride

Distance - 40 miles and short

On Sunday October 3rd, the LIVESTRONG Army in partnership with the YMCA Healthy Living Center and Mercy Cance Center present the 4th annual Unite Against Cancer Ride. Join us for a special bike ride honoring the thousands of Iowans affected by cancer and the family, friends and loved ones who support them. Proceeds to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The festivities begin at 9:00 AM on October 3rd. LIVESTRONG Day is a day to raise awareness of the 28 million people living with cancer worldwide. It's a day to reduce the stigma of cancer by reaching out to friends, family, colleagues and neighbors. It's a day to share the love and support survivors need to live with dignity and strength and a time to join thousands of supporters around the world as we wear yellow and rally together to honor cancer survivors and the communities of care that are so important to us.

Route

Two safe routes will ride West, one short for families, survivors, and patients, and a longer route for those more avid riders. *************HELMETS REQUIRED**********************
