Charity Ride

Distance - Total ride is 35 miles

This is a fund-raiser for Habitat for Humanity of Washington County. It is sponsored by the Spokebusters Bike Club. The Optimist Club of Washington will provide a pancake breakfast before the event (6:00AM) that can be purchased by riders and the general public as a free will offering. There are 2 rest stops with refreshments. Tee-shirt for all riders. Ride at your own speed and enjoy the countryside.

Route

Start at Central Park on the Washington Square. Head out of town on South Iowa Ave. to the Coppock Road. (bear right at the Red Brick School House and follow County Road W47 to Coppock) The 1st stop is at Coppock. This is about 10 miles and will be an option for riders to turn and head back to town for 20 miles total. Refreshments are offered here. Riders then proceed east on Highway 78 to Wayland. Refreshments can be purchased at convenience store in Wayland as well. Head east out of Wayland on Hwy. 78, turn north on Redwood through Noble to the 2nd refreshment stop at the Fern Cliff Church. The ride back will be west on 320th st, crossing the Wayland Rd (W55), past the quarry to the Coppock Road (W47) and back into town, approx 35 miles.
