We tried to pull this event off in a short time frame, but we won't be able to do it. We will do better next year and bring you a gravel fondo that everyone will enjoy.

The Old Cap Gravel Fondo is a gravel ride through Johnson and Washington Counties. Riders will leave Iowa City to roll through Riverside and Kalona before returning to Iowa City.

Check in is at 7am the day of the ride. There will be two aid stations on the ride at 30 and 49 miles.

Route

The course can be found at: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39040760. In case of wet weather, we will remove the B roads and ride the wet course: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39040806. Both courses end 2 miles from the start to avoid finishing on Old 218.

We will let pre-registered riders know 48 hours before the ride which course we are using and the course will be marked, but riders are encouraged to download both routes. Course marshals will be on course checking numbers as they pass to make sure that no one cuts the course.
