Saturday May 2nd the 20th annual Nevada bike ride is being held. Brought to you by the Nevada Iowa Jaycees chapter. This bike ride has multiple distances and is appropriate for all level of riders. The hard surface route starts in Nevada and may go through McCallsburg, Roland, or Story City depending on the distance you would like to ride. The route has multiple rest stops including snacks, beverages, first aid, and SAG support. Registration includes; a t-shirt, swag bag, rest stop, and a full meal at the end of the route. The ride will be held regardless of weather and will start at 10 a.m. with registration and check in before hand for an hour.
The Nevada Jaycee chapter is a nonprofit organization and putting on this bike ride is to support the local community and surrounding area. All money goes back to the community. last year we were able to raise about $2,000 that went to food at first, a scholarship for high School student, Angel tree project, and other programs.
