Competition Format:

This is an OPEN course, meaning racers must share the road with vehicles. Registration will start at 6:30 am. The course will cover approximately 26 miles. Race categories can consist of individual and tandems.

Tandem may be 2 male, 2 female or 2 person coed. Each member of the tandem must complete an entry form and pay the entry fee.

Iowa Games Athletes (age 50 & Over):  The Iowa Games and Iowa Senior Games have partnered to offer athletes age 50 & over a unique opportunity.  For the same fee, you are automatically entered in both the Iowa Games and Iowa Senior Games competitions.  Participants will receive an Iowa Senior Games and an Iowa Games t-shirt, as well as the ability to earn a medal in both events (top 3 in each age group).   If you already paid an entry fee to compete in another sport at the Iowa Senior Games contact Senior Games Director Matt Beatty (matt.beatty@iowaseniorgames.org) to add the Cycling Road Race to your list of sports.

A loop from Boone to Pilot Mound and back (park at Boone Scenic Valley RR Depot).

Parking: Iowa Games participants MUST park West of the Museum Building. Parking will be West of the museum in the gravel/grass parking lots. No parking will be allowed in the hard surfaced lots of the museum.

On-site registrations will be accepted from 7:00 am-8:00 am

Pre-registration is preferred.

Cycling Event Package

For an additional fee of $5 per event, athletes can compete in the gravel bike race and/or time trial.  This offer is only good through the final registration deadline. An athlete can not add this to his/her entry the day of the event.  After the final registration deadline the on-site entry fee for each sport will be charged.
