Charity Ride

Distance - 8, 16, 44, 66, 80 miles.

Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Select from routes of 8, 16, 44, 66 ("metric century"), or 80 miles. For walkers there will be a 3 mile route in Story City. Refreshment stops and convenience stores placed along routes. Picnic follows the ride in Story City Park with door prizes and musical entertainment.

Proceeds from the ride benefit Habitat for Humanity of Central Iowa, Inc. Ride passes through all three counties served - Story, Hardin, and Hamilton (as well as Marshall)

Route

All ride on paved county roads.

1. Story City to Randall via R61
2. Randall to Union via D65 with cutoffs for shorter routes at R77, S27 or S57
3. Union to Clemons via Bangor via S62, E18 and S52
4. Clemons to Roland via S52, E29, and R77
5. Roland to Story City via R77 and E15

Brochures with entry forms will be available in late April at bike stores, banks and other locations in the tri-county area. Entry forms will also be available at the Habitat for Humanity of Central Iowa web site http://www.hfhci.org
