Modeled after the original "Tweed Runs" of London, our Tweed Ride is a leisurely bicycle ride along the scenic Davenport riverfront. It will launch from the Village Theater in the quaint Village of East Davenport and meander downriver to Credit island Park and the Seurat Statue Garden where riders can enjoy a picnic lunch, complimentary tea, cider, and scones, with live music provided by the Quad-Cities Ukulele Club.
Following a group photo amongst the Statues, the riders will wind their way back to the Village Theater for the Awards Ceremony, Door Prizes, and Tweed Bike Raffle.
Cost to ride is free but a $20 donation will provide the rider with a warm fuzzy feeling, a souvenir armband, and entitlement to the awards and prize giveaways.
All funds raised go towards offsetting our costs with the balance donated to River Action to help with repair and maintenance of the privately funded Suerat Statue Garden.
