About 30 showed up for the Kyle's Bikes Ride to the Ride of Silence. We rode down to the State Historical Museum of Iowa in time for the presentation honoring those who have been injured or killed while cycling. The Ride of Silence then proceeded through downtown and East Village, ending on the steps of the state capitol. Some regrouped and rode back to Ankeny together, with a few continuing to Thunderhead for dinner.

Trail Ride

Distance - 13 miles

In place of our regular Wednesday night ride, we will ride to the Des Moines East Village for the Ride of Silence.

Gather at the shop around 5:15. We will roll out promptly at 5:30. We will maintain a brisk pace in order to get there in time. (Note that this is earlier than our weekly ride usually leaves.)

Route

We will take Oralabor Trail west to the Neal Smith Trail, and the Neal Smith Trail south to Des Moines.
