Join Goldfinch Cyclery and neighborhood friends Lion Bridge Brewing Company, Caucho, Analog Vault, and Bike Rags for the first annual Cranksgiving Cedar Rapids on Sunday, November 19th in partnership with the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry. All of the food collected during the event will benefit those who access the resources from the Loaves & Fishes Mission House.

Pump up your tires, grab your helmet, bring a bag, a lock, your navigational skills and $15-$20 to buy food. Registration/Check-in at Goldfinch Cyclery at 12pm. You'll be provided a manifest with a list of food items to buy from specific grocery stores around town, and time before the official start to strategize your route. At 1pm we'll fire the starting gun and it's up to you to navigate yourself to each grocery store 'checkpoint' to purchase the specific food items on our list. Once you've acquired everything on the list you must deliver the goods to the food pantry and make it back down to NewBo for the Caucho + Analog Vault after party. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest finishers. Your completed manifest, including all of your receipts, earns you a free pint from Lion Bridge Brewery and the Cranksgiving Cedar Rapids t-shirt from the folks at Bike Rags.

Loaves & Fishes is a food pantry located in Westminster's mission house at 1251 Third Avenue, SE. It is a joint ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Christ Episcopal Church. Their guiding principles are to treat everyone with respect and offer as much choice and dignity as possible. Every Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m between 90-170 people come for food. In turn, that food reaches about 1,200 individuals each month.
