World Class Exposure
Since 2001, BIKEIOWA.com has been the premier online destination for cycling enthusiasts in Iowa and beyond. Our mission is to promote Iowa's vibrant cycling culture, its bicycle-friendly businesses, and our world-class trail system.
We help drive awareness for over 1,000 events annually, with a steady flow of engaging news, features, and reviews. Through our strong social media presence, we keep the cycling community informed and connected all year long.
When you advertise with BIKEIOWA.com, you gain unparalleled exposure. We offer a range of advertising options tailored to meet your budget. Iowa may not have mountains or oceans, but we do boast an ever-expanding network of world-class trails, making bicycle tourism a growing industry. As more Iowans ride and more trails are connected, the state is well on its way to becoming the Trails Capital of the World.
Cyclists love to shop, dine, and enjoy experiences at destinations that cater to their needs. Studies show that cyclists tend to spend more than other visitors, making them a valuable audience.
The more we market, the more you benefit
BIKEIOWA.com provides targeted advertising and social media campaigns designed to put your business in front of the right audience—cyclists. We treat our sponsors like partners, ensuring custom exposure through our platform to reach thousands of cyclists from Iowa, the Midwest, and beyond.
Our website is the only one of its kind to feature all aspects of cycling, including events, trails, city information, races, destinations, news, features, reviews, and more. At the core of our site is an extensive Event Calendar and City and Trail Portals that highlight local cycling hubs.
Cyclists flock to bike-friendly businesses, and our sponsors cater to this community in unique ways. We love promoting these businesses!

Bicycling and Iowa go together. At BikeIowa.com, I can find bicycle rides all over the state. I can find contacts for hundreds of bicycle clubs in Iowa. I can locate shops that provide first class bicycling sales and excellent service at fair prices. There is a lot to know about bicycling in Iowa. BikeIowa.com has an established history of providing a huge amount of accurate information that is easy to find. It’s simply the first place to look.

When we started working on Penny's Pieathlon several people directed me to make sure it was posted on BIKE IOWA. They were all right, of course, and we appreciate the chance to reach so many thousands of cycling enthusiasts across Iowa and the USA. Thanks for sharing your passion for biking and providing a great forum to all of us to share.

We are truly blessed to have BikeIowa.com as a resource supporting the bike community. Bike racks on transit buses? BikeIowa.com was there supporting and cheering on the amazing growth of usage. Restriping of Ingersoll Avenue? BikeIowa.com got the word out regarding key public meetings. BikeIowa.com has been awesome in building support for the Des Moines Bicycle Collective. I don't know how we would have kept our doors open without word spreading through the bike community via BikeIowa.com. A lion's share of the cyclists enrolling the the Collective night bike-maintenance classes read about it from one source: BikeIowa.com

BikeIowa (f/k/a Cibroc) was the local social media site for bikers before anyone knew what social media sites were. It has allowed bikers with varied interests to find other bikers with similar interests. It was, and still is, integral in getting the word out on biking events. These events would be much less successful if it were not for bikeiowa. I believe BikeIowa is still the preeminent site for Iowa cyclists in Iowa and surrounding areas for keeping up on cycling issues and events around state and our lives would less fulfilling without it. Great job Scott and thanks for your past and continuing efforts.

As a relatively new cyclist a few years ago, the bikeiowa.com site helped me find rides and events to meet other people in the cycling community. Now a leisure cyclist turned racer, I’ve used those connections to build on my networking within the racing community. I would say the newest cyclocross page (bikeiowa.com/cross) has been a most outstanding addition. The fostering of this has helped so much with bridging the gap between Type A racers and leisure cyclists just wanting to have a good time.

BikeIowa.com has made an impact in my personal and professional life. As a famous bumper sticker says "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!" Well, I wasn't with BikeIowa.com from the start, but joined as fast as I could! In 2007, the Bait Shop started hosting bicycling events and here we are today one of Des Moines' favorite pitstops for cycling enthusiasts! Three years ago, I put 20 miles on my bike (many years it just collected dust in the garage), two years ago I put on 800 miles and last year 1,200 miles. Most of my miles are commuting back and forth to work, because my wife and also had two kids over the last two years, but I hope to add miles every year. Now el Bait Shop and I are fully committed to the bicycling community and BikeIowa. BikeIowa puts the "Community" in the bicycling community. BikeIowa is so taken for granted people forget how important this website is to everyone and life without BikeIowa would just plain suck. I believe without BikeIowa we wouldn't have the Bike Collective, Bike to Work Week, Bike Month, as many races, as many rides, as busy bike shops, the New Belgian Urban Assault ride and many others which are too much to mention. I guess I just want to say, Thank You Scott Sumpter for all of your hard work and dedication and for making bicycling in Iowa what it is today.
