The Iowa Department of Transportation approved over $1.5 million for three central Iowa trail projects.
The DOT approved $675,000 for completing the Raccoon River Valley Trail to the High Trestle Trail connector.
The Red Rock Prairie Trail from Prairie City to Mitchellville is receiving nearly half a million dollars. The Copper Creek Mountain Bike Park was awarded $400,000.
