Situated right off the bike path in Bondurant, IA, Founder's Irish Pub provides an authentic atmosphere to enjoy the Emerald Isle's renowned spirits, favorite foods and live musical entertainment.

Lively and festive anytime of the day, Founder's Irish Pub is the perfect place to gather with friends or meet new people.

We're a casual "everybody's bar," where everyone will feel welcome and comfortable. 12 beers will be available on tap with numerous other bottled beers and tons of liquors to choose from. Founder's Irish Pubwill also have a full kitchen open every day from 11am to 9:30pm, with the bar closing every night at 2am. The inside has undergone some remodeling, a new paint job, new flooring, new booths and tons of other exciting things! Flatscreen TV's and a projector screen are installed throughout the Pub to keep you up-to-date on live news and sporting events…I think you will like it!

A variety of menu items and a perfect pint of your favorite Irish beer await.

While you are here, you may want to experience what Irish natives fondly call "The Water of Life", one of the many selections of Irish Whiskey offered - or enjoy a Guinness along with our items from our mouth watering menu.

Friday Night Bikes

Home to the "Friday Night Bikes' bike rides that take place every Friday night from May thru September (See BIKEIOWA calendar for all details).

Come ride the Chichaqua Valley Trail and stop in Mingo or Bondurant for a social event filled with cycling, scenery and a festive, party atmosphere.

Choose your starting point at either location and ride on out to Greencastle Tavern in Mingo or Founders Irish Pub in Bondurant for live entertainment, cold beverages, great food and prizes.

We'll have an End of Season Party in September! Make sure you attend every week for maximum entries into the drawing for our great prizes.

Greencastle Tavern is located one block off the trail in Mingo. Some riders get headed down the trail by mid-afternoon while others ride late into the night. Everyone welcome, don’t feel like riding, drive out and visit us.
