2020 has been a year of challenges for nearly everyone. The COVID crisis caused big changes in nearly everyone's professional and personal lives, ours included.
Just over a week ago, a rare derecho carved a path of destruction through the center of our state, once again upending the personal and professional of many. For us, that has meant seeing one of the counties on the route being declared a disaster area, giving us additional work to reconstruct a route that both meets our standards for safety and excellence, and with allows for appropriate COVID 19 precautions.
With this in mind, the best way forward for our event and the communities along the route will be to simplify our route options for 2020, and only offer a 150 mile route for the Spotted Horse Gravel Ultra, along with the 340 mile Iowa Wind and Rock. If you are already registered for the 200 mile event, please see your inbox for instructions regarding your entry. More information will be coming soon about additional changes, including routes, drop bags, checkpoints, etc.
