The City of Ankeny’s Public Works Department has awarded bids for the North Creek Erosion Repair project and the North Creek Park Recreational Trail Replacement project. The erosion repair project will begin first and once complete, the trail replacement project will begin. The contractor will being moving equipment to the site on Wednesday, June 14th and work is set to start on Thursday, June 15th. The recreational trail will be closed starting Thursday, June 15th as shown on the map.

This neighborhood trail is just south of the High Trestle Trail near the NW 18th St crossing.

Please make sure to keep out of the construction areas once the trail is closed.

The erosion repair project will take a few weeks to complete, weather permitting. Once the erosion repair is complete, the trail replacement project will begin. The trail replacement project should take a few months to complete. The areas of the trail that are shown as closed on the map on the back of this letter will be repaved this summer. We expect that the recreational trail will be open again in September.
