May 13, 2015 (Des Moines) – The Vision Iowa Board awarded $280,387 in Community Attraction and Tourism (CAT) grants to a park project in Ankeny. The grant was approved by the Vision Iowa Board at today's meeting in Des Moines.

Project Description: This project includes the construction of two 50’ x 100’ open-air pavilions, a paved plaza, a restroom facility and a trail hub. Additional features include signage and a natural play space.

The Vision Iowa Program provides financial incentives to communities for the construction of recreational, cultural, educational or entertainment facilities that enhance the quality of life in Iowa. Currently, 402 CAT awards have been granted by the board, totaling $151,725,006. The next Vision Iowa Board meeting is tentatively scheduled for June 10, 2015, in Iowa City.
