Iowa Native Guthart among new USA Cycling hires

USA Cycling has hired six new staff members in three departments, including Director of Track Programs Andy Sparks and Technical Director Mark Guthart. National Events Manager Laura Ryan, Race Director Certification Manager Cynthia Weisinger, Digital and Social Media Manager Steve Bitter and Sponsorship and Member Benefits Manager Daniel Gillespie also join the company.

An Elite National Commissaire, race director, Iowa Bicycle Racing Association Board President and cyclist, Guthart brings his years of diverse experience in the cycling world, along with his business acumen as owner of G4 Sports Marketing, to the Technical Director position. As Technical Director, Guthart will oversee referee development and education, direct national event officiating and manage technical advancement in the United States.

Mark was originally form Iowa City before moving to Fort Collins Colorado a little over a year ago. Mark has run the Jingle Cross Rock Registation since year one.
