A bicyclist whoaccused a wedding party of assaulting himin Des Moines doesn't wish to pursue a case against the group, police said.That ends the police's investigation of the incident with no charges being filed.
The 68-year-old bicyclist told police on Saturday that he was riding his bike with his wife in the 3000 block of Ingersoll Avenue on Saturday and asked the driver of a limousine parked in the bike lane to move.
The groom from the wedding party using the limo and several groomsmen emerged, and the bicyclist said he was punched and his bike thrown across the street.
Police reports didn't identify members of the wedding party. Several witnesses told police they saw the assault occur but others later took to social media to say the bicyclist played a role in the confrontation.
