AMES, Iowa -

An Iowa State athlete is accused of stealing bikes on campus and selling them online.

According to court documents, Collin Fett admitted to using a bolt cutter to take the bikes.

Iowa State University police officers said they found 40 bikes in Fett's basement.

They said he also showed investigators records for bikes he sold through the website Craigslist.

Fett pleaded not guilty to the charges earlier this week.

ISU Department of Athletics spokesman Tom Kroeschell said Fett has been suspended indefinitely from competition with the ISU track team.
