Wanted: Cyclists to ride in support of cancer and our buddy Steve Cannon who is running across Iowa in 11 days to "Celebrate Life", provide monetary support to fight cancer and promote cancer awareness. Wednesday begins his 3rd day on the road. Who would have figured he would have 100 degree days ?!? He stopped running Tuesday afternoon in Walnut, IA and finished up after the sun went down! How can you help? Show up in Waukee on Friday, June 26th, ride with Steve as he runs to Colby Park in West Des Moines. Meet at the West Trail-head right on the Raccoon River Trail. Be there at 12:45 pm. Steve is expected to be there around 1:00 pm. "if you are riding, please wear livestrong yellow". Any questions concerning the ride, please call Bill Throckmorton at 720-0869. Can't Ride? Show up when he gets into Des Moines Please join us in supporting and celebrating with Steve at the Fundraising Party on Friday, June 26th at Colby Park. We will celebrate with an evening of barbecue, beer, pop, and free massages for anyone who runs or bikes to the party. 5-8 pm Templeton Rye is happy to be involved with such a great cause and will be the official support vehicle of the Run.
