There has been an outpouring of anger and frustration from those who identify with the aggressive behavior that left local cyclist, Erin Schroeder lying unconscious. Three weeks ago Erin experienced unprovoked aggression while riding her bike on county road K-64. Slowly she is recovering from the cuts and bruises in addition to back and pelvic problems. Plymouth County Cyclists, the local biking club, had earlier announced the formation of a reward for a tip that would lead to identifying the guilty parties involved. The organization’s president, Monte Brent, reports there has been a gratifying outpouring of sympathy for Erin and thanks those who have made personal contributions to the reward fund. Donations have come from several in the Des Moines and Minneapolis area in addition to local donations. A special account has been established at Prime Bank in Le Mars. Anyone who would like to give should make their check out to: Erin Schroeder Reward Fund. The address is Erin Schroeder Reward Fund, c/o Plymouth County Cyclists, Donna Pond, Treasurer, and 600 Park Court, Le Mars, Iowa 51031. Joe Mizereck - a Florida cyclist donated $500 to the fund. Mizereck is selling the 3' Please bicycle jerseys to raise awareness. http://www.lemarssentinel.com/story/1536185.html
