This will be the 2nd year for Survivor Cross.
Survivor Cross is an unsanctioned Cyclocross race that takes place after the ubber-popular Living History Farms Race in Urbandale, IA.
Last years event drew 181 participants and this year will be even bigger.
DIRTY
So... Let us explain a little more... the Living History Farms Race is the largest Cross Country (Running) race in the United States. The rugged course is lined with streams, fields, fences, hills and lots of spectators...
AND Survivor Cross takes place AFTER the Running Race... You thought it was tough for the runner to get up those muddy slick hills??? Wait to see what it looks like after 7500 runners have stampeded through it! It's like Five Muddy-Buddys on sterioids
Race 1 - "The Fun and Dirty"
A 1 lap of the Living History Farms course. (1 lap = about 7 miles)
Race 2- "The Fast and Muddy"
A 2 lap race requiring a headlamp as it is VERY possible you will end in the dark!! Double Trouble!
TOUGH
There is no tougher cyclocross course anywhere around here. You'll push, pull and even throw your bike to get across some of the creek crossings.
Think you can SURVIVE??? November 17th you'll be put to the test.MORE INFO
