Recap/Results

THANKS to everyone who came out last weekend to Capital City Cross.

The course was fast, slick, dry and dusty both days, but that did not stop record turnouts at Stone Park as 156 raced on Sat and 142 on Sunday. Over 100 spectators were in attendance each day including some local residents who seemed to enjoy seeing the park getting used.

Sunday's course was a reverse of Saturday with the addition of a fast downhill with a hard right turn at the bottom and a long run-up with a double barrier.

I think the highlight of Sunday was watching Kevin Mcconnell and Jeff Kluck duke it out right from the chute.
The crowd favorite was definitely Chad Vanderlune bunny hopping both barriers.. you could hear the spectator applause from across the course.
