A bicyclistwas injured Saturday eveningwhen he ran a stop sign turning onto Main Street.

According to a report by the Iowa State Patrol, 52-year-old Reynaldo Lopez of Burlington was taken by helicopter to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

"A Ford F150 was southbound on South Main Street. in Burlington when a bicyclist who was eastbound on Elm Street failed to obey a stop sign," ISP said in the report.

The pickup truck was driven by Michael PaulFairlie, 61, also of Burlington. According to court records, Fairlie has not been charged or cited in relation to the accident.

The accident remains under investigation. The Burlington Police Department assisted on the scene.
