Thanks for all the Fort Dodge and Webster County Bike Trails! A special thank you to Matt Cosgrove, the trails maintenance crew (especially Kyle), Matt Bemrich, the Webster County Supervisors, the City Council, Webster County Conservation, and the Webster County Trails Committee. Since moving to Fort Dodge 13 years ago, I have seen numerous trail additions and improvements. More than 50 miles of trails go around most of the city, out to Iowa Central Community College and Kennedy Park.

In addition there are trails or sections of trails on Cental Avenue and Third Street, by the Freedom Rock, by the Vincent House, up Snell Crawford to 15th Street, and south of oll Sunkist Meadows Frisbee Golf Course along the river. I have enjoyed riding the trails, with my friends, with Dodge Cyclists, sponsored events and independently. It has been an important activity during Covid-19 to help with physical activity, socialization with distancing, mental health in being able to greet people on the trail, and spirituality to pray and praise God while biking in the fresh air.

Fort Dodge is a fantastic place to live and keeps getting better and better.

Agree wholeheartedly. A friend and I, after regular meetings in Fort Dodge, oftentimes ride the trails as far as we are able. We discovered a new addition just last week, on the river's east bank, downstream from Business 20. New, smooth and welcomed! This is after we had already been north and northeastward to Kennedy Park and around the old "mall" area, grabbing some vittles during our ride.
Thanks for the trails, the easily read maps, connectors from park to park, scenic locales and good maintenance.
