The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa will be rolling across the state before we know it. Along with the spectacular rural views, the pies and the new friendships, there's plenty ofcelebration that accompanies theweeklong ride.
RAGBRAIis in its 47th year and will begin on Sunday, July 21, and ends on Saturday, July 27. About 8,500 weeklong riders and 1,500 day riders will participate in this year's event.
As some riders choose to toast the end of a hot day of riding with a cold beer or alcoholic beverage, the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Divisionhas issued a list ofalcohol guidelines for communities tofollow to ensure everyone hasa fun and safe RAGBRAI.
