A small section of the Heart of Iowa Nature Trail (HOINT) will be closed to users for maintenance starting Tuesday, May 27. The closed section is located in Collins at the intersection of HOINT and U.S. Highway 65. The Iowa DOT estimates a completion date of September 1, 2014.

The trail, only at the intersection of Highway 65 and HOINT, will be closed for the remainder of the summer. Fences will be placed on either side of the trail to protect users from equipment and construction in the worksite. Access to HOINT will be available through the ball field located at northwest corner of the worksite.
