Waukon Teenager Dies After Being Hit By Car

An eastern Iowa teenager is dead after being hit by a car, while riding his bicycle. It happened on County Road A52 just east of Bluebird Drive in Allamakee County.
16 year old Lewis Palmer of Waukon was riding his bicycle when 19 year old Nathan Riese, also of Waukon, tried to pass him in his car yesterday afternoon.
Riese then hit Palmer's bike, while trying to avoid an oncoming car.
Palmer died at the scene. There is no word on Riese's condition.
