Please join the City of West Des Moines' Mayor, Russ Trimble, for a morning of cycling and family FUN at Raccoon River Park on Saturday, June 4th. The bike ride will begin at 8:00 am and is perfect way to kick off summer!
Two different routes will be available to accommodate all ages and abilities. This trail ride features the WDMurals public art exhibit that can be viewed while biking the long route. Both routes start and end at the Raccoon River Park Coneflower Shelters.
Following the ride, there will be plenty of FREE family friendly activities in the park from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm! Enjoy the Cops and Bobbers Fishing Derby; Airbrush Tattoos; Inflatables; Make-&-Take arts and crafts for kids; boat rentals at the boathouse; Archery sessions; Touch-A-Truck experience and a balloon artist. Food trucks will also be available for food and beverage purchases.
The event is "Ride at your own risk." All rules and regulations outlined in the West Des Moines, IA City Code, Title 6-MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, Chapter 11: BICYCLES shall apply.
